This month, meet Dr. Robert Younger. 


Q: What is your area of specialty?
A: Allergy, Asthma & Immunology

Q: What medical group or practice do you work at?
A: The Allergy & Asthma Group

Q: Why did you become a doctor/ why did you choose your area of specialty? A: Becoming a physician is an ambition I have held since early childhood.  At UTK, I majored in microbiology and immunology. After a pediatric residency, I fulfilled my ambition by entering and completing a fellowship in allergy, asthma & immunology, then opened our practice in Chattanooga.

Q: What’s the one thing you wish all your patients knew?
A: I am honored to serve each individual and family that comes to us for help.

Q: What’s your favorite form of exercise?
A: Backpacking

Q: What is your top recommendation for nutrition/ or healthy lifestyle changes?
A: Take a brisk 20-minute walk at least four times weekly.

Q: What are you reading now?
A: James Rollins, Sigma Force Series.

Q: What’s your favorite thing about Chattanooga?
A: Outdoor activities

Q: How would you describe your personality in three words?
A: Clint, Gandhi, and Curly

Q: What is one thing people might be surprised to learn about you?
A: I captain sailboat charters internationally and ride transcontinentally on a Road King Harley Davidson motorcycle.
